Join us in Eleuthera Bahamas for 5 fun days. We will ride bikes, beach comb, hike and explore this remote island on the eastern edge of the Bahamas.
We will bike the hillsides along the coast, explore some scenic cliffs, remote beaches and attempt to do some swimming and surfing at Surfers Beach.
The cost of the tour is $1,899. This includes airfare from Ft Lauderdale, transfers, ferry's, 4 nights of housing, 2 days of cycling and guides and support and one day of a charter boat ride. We supply bikes for each tour and at the end of the tour, we will donate it to a local charity.
This is how it works.
You will be flown into the remote part of Northern Eleuthera where we will take a cab to the docks nearby where a ferry will take us to Harbour Island where our house will be located. Harbour Island is a 3 mile island with big beaches and pink sand. The island is historical and a great night life. We will have a orientation bike ride around the island and walk the beach the first day. The following day we will take the ferry with our bikes back to the mainland of Eleuthura and bike down to Glass Window Bridge for some exploring. Then off to Surfers Beach where we will arrange to have food and drinks at this remote beach for a nice swim break. We will then bike back to Harbour Island. This will be about a 25 mile bike ride with plenty of hills and spectacular scenery.
The next day we will hire a charter to ride us around by boat to some cliffs and remote beaches on the island and surrounding area. This is a full day of boating, swimming and snorkeling. The following day we will bike to The Cut, the Bluffs and then onto Spanish Wells where we will take a ferry to this remote seaside village and bike around the community then onto Russell island. We will then bike to Preachers Cave where the founders landed and then go nearby to a remote beach. Again, we will arrange to have a cooler of drinks and food waiting for us. After this long day, we will go to Blackwood where there is a small church in a tiny remote village. We will have to hike our bikes there and meet the founders of the church and donate some of our bikes to their congregation
The mileage of this trip is never more than 25 miles a day, but filled with hills, ferry rides, lots of sightseeing and some hiking and swimming so the days are full. Add to the nightlife on Harbour Island, you will have a full schedule. Call mark at 305-395- 1551 if you have questions.
